The 2011 Annual Report has been distinguished in a total of three competitions. Both the content and design of the Report won over the jury of the Manager Magazin in the renowned competition "Beste Bankenbericht" ("Best Bank Report"). Amongst the DAX-listed enterprises, the Commerzbank Report was ranked fifth, and is hence the "Best Bank Report" again. Commerzbank has been heading the sector for the last five years, throughout all the stock-market indices. In the international "Vision Awards - Annual Report Competition" (LACP), the Commerzbank Annual Report was also voted best-in-sector in the category "Banks" (balance-sheet total exceeding US $10 billion), and received platinum. The online 2011 Annual Report scored for the first time and was awarded bronze. In the "ARC Awards 2012", the Annual Report garnered distinctions in three categories: The Management Letter received a commendation, the internal design of the Report was awarded silver, and print and production bronze.
|Loyalty Award for the Commerzbank customer referral programme ("Kunden-werben-Kunden")|
The Commerzbank customer referral programme was distinguished at the International Loyalty Awards in London. Amongst the 130 participants, Commerzbank is the winner in the category "Best Coupon or Voucher-based Programme" and managed to beat companies such as Royal Bank of Scotland or British Airways. The Loyalty Awards were organised this year for the first time by the trade journal Loyalty Magazine to distinguish excellent and innovative customer-retention measures. Via the Commerzbank customer programme, the referring customer can choose an attractive reward for a successful recommendation. In this manner, Commerzbank acquired 45,000 new customers in 2011.
|EBRD Award 2011: Commerzbank once again No. 1|
Commerzbank is No. 1for the eighth consecutive time in the promotion of trade finance in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). No other bank in the world has continuously processed as many export and import transactions via the trade promotion programme of the EBRD since 2004. For this high degree of commitment, Commerzbank again received the distinction as "most active confirming bank". The EBRD was founded in 1991 by 61 individual states, the European Union and the European Investment Bank. Many German exporters benefit from the trade promotion programme - particularly in trade with Russia as well as with the Commonwealth of Independent States and the states of eastern Europe.
|Best of European Business Award 2012: Commerzbank distinguished for commitment to Africa|
Commerzbank has been granted the "Best of European Business Award" for its successful and sustainable corporate strategy in Africa. As the No. 1 amongst the German-speaking banks in institutional business with Africa, Commerzbank has been active on the continent for the last sixty years, in 50 of the 54 countries. It supervises over 500 African banks in six representative offices between Cairo and Johannesburg. Eleven percent of all euro payments from Africa to countries abroad are processed by Commerzbank. It also received the Award due to the continuous expansion of business relations with Africa. Even in countries without a direct branch office, Commerzbank's business has already reached double-digit figures. The "Best of European Business Award" by the strategy consultants Roland Berger distinguishes manager and entrepreneurs who, with their business concepts, serve as role models.

The Commerzbank 2011 Corporate Responsibility Report garnered the Gold Award at this year’s Vision Awards of the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP). The Report scored 97 of a 100 possible points in the category "Corporate Responsibility Report". As such, the Report comes in at second place in the worldwide ranking of the best CR reports. The jury highlighted in particular the creativity of the Report and the clarity of the statements. The Vision Awards are one of the most renowned international communications prizes for annual and sustainability reports.
|Commerzbank most successful bank at Euroweek Awards|
At the renowned Euroweek Awards for syndicated loans, Commerzbank performed better than ever before. It was ranked first in four categories and was hence the most successful bank. The Commerzbank received the distinction as "Best Arranger" in the categories German loans, financial-institution loans, corporate loans as well as promissory notes. At the awards organised by the British financial magazine Euroweek, customers and fellow competitors decide on the winners. Commerzbank had positioned itself well in the past, and successfully defended the titles "Best Arranger" of German loans and "Best Arranger" of financial-institution loans for four consecutive years. The Commerzbank team of experts, DCM Loans, is renowned throughout Europe in the area of syndicated loans, i.e. the joint extension of loans by several financial institutions.
