EBRD-Award: Commerzbank again No. 1
For the eleventh time in succession Commerzbank is the Number 1 in the promotion of trade financing in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). No other bank worldwide has processed so many export and import transactions through the trade enhancement program of the EBRD on a regular basis since 2004. In recognition of this high degree of commitment Commerzbank is again receiving the award as "most active confirming bank" for 2014. The EBRD was founded in 1991 by 61 individual states, the European Union and the European Investment Bank. The trade enhancement program benefits many German exporters – in particular small- and medium-sized enterprises trading with Russia, as well as with the Commonwealth of Independent States and central European countries.
Commerzbank again the best branch bank
The magazine "Euro" has had Germany’s financial institutes tested for the twelfth time. Commerzbank successfully defended the title it won last year, once again receiving the award as "Best Branch Bank in Germany". In particular the in-bank consulting led to this outstanding result. Commerzbank picked up additional points for its newly designed website and the improved security in online banking. "Euro" tested the services and conditions of 31 branch and direct banks which operate nationwide, as well as those of specialist providers.
Commerzbank offers business customers the best consulting
The business and finance newspaper Handelsblatt has voted Commerzbank the overall winner in its business customer consulting test. In five major German cities the independent Hamburg-based analytical company S.W.I. Finance tested on behalf of Handelsblatt the consulting received by companies and business start-ups at the four largest nationwide branch banks and at the respective local savings bank and cooperative bank. Products were not tested. Commerzbank took the top spot in Munich, Frankfurt am Main and Dresden, and is thus the test winner in the overall standings. The decisive factor for the outstanding test result is the high level of consulting competence. The fact that Commerzbank takes a comprehensive look at the corporate situation of the potential customers, as well as providing secure and competent financial consulting, was rated particularly positively by S.W.I..
