The magic of Christmas makes wishes come true. Though sadly not everywhere. Commerzbank has developed the lovely tradition of bringing a little joy to children and teenagers in need. Thus, during Christmas of 2017, Commerzbank's employees fulfilled more than 200 children's wishes.
One example: Every year, starting on the first advent, a pinboard is placed next to a decorated Christmas Tree in the Lobby of the Commerzbank tower in Frankfurt and filled with children's wishes. Commerzbank employees participate in this Christmas activity on their own or in teams to make small and big wishes come true.
Just before Christmas the collected and festively packaged presents are brought to regional child and youth care institutions by colleagues from the works council. The moving company “Hofmann-Umzüge”, who have supported the initiative from the start, carries out the transport for the presents. Big thanks to them!
The Christmas wish-initiative was first organized in 2007 by employees in the risk management team. Since then, this great idea has been expanded. Every Year employees organize similar Christmas projects at other Commerzbank locations nationwide.
