Commerzbank is now part of the recognized FTSE4Good Index Series which makes the bank even more interesting for sustainably oriented investors.
Launched in 2001, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of 2.000 companies in various sectors and 23 markets which demonstrate strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. Inclusion in the index series is based on the best-in-class principle.
In 2019, Commerzbank outperformed the sub-sector banks compared to its competitors. According to FTSE Russell, the bank was able to achieve the highest possible score in four out of seven criteria and thus exceeded the sector and national average. These criteria are: "Climate Change", "Labor Standards", "Corporate Governance" and "Anti-Corruption".
