What drives German SMEs in their day-to-day business? What challenges lie ahead of them? How are they preparing for an upcoming business transformation? The idea behind the Unternehmerperspektiven initiative is to tackle these questions together in a network that includes representatives from the realms of business, trade associations, academia and politics.

Crises are the new normal

Fifty-six percent of all employees work in small or medium-sized companies, which are very much the backbone of the German economy and are often owner-managed family businesses. Whichever of the major challenges is the most pressing – sustainability, digital transformation, skilled labour shortages, supply chains or energy – SMEs know how to think long term and bear the next generation in mind. They have seen many a crisis come and go, and it is this vast experience that is at the heart of the Unternehmerperspektiven initiative. Here, the focus is entirely on the mid-market sector – with Commerzbank as a hands-on partner that helps them seize the opportunities that arise.

With our Unternehmerperspektiven initiative, we inform and inspire entrepreneurs and decision-makers on their path to an ever-changing future. We are there every step of the way to provide individual support and solutions with our consulting services and products.
